Jason here. Last year, Mike and I asked you about art books. When we asked you guys in August, it was because we were divided on doing a hardcover vs a softcover and needed to hear from you all.

Do You Want to Build an Art Book?

With your feedback, we were ready to move forward with a hardcover art book that we will produce ourselves. Around this time, Clover Press was making waves with their line of Marvel Art Books so we reached out to Hank Kanalz for advice. One thing led to another and yada yada yada…

We are over the moon to be sharing this with you today. Here’s what Mike said about the project in the press release:

“I've always been a Marvel kid, I still remember the thrill of landing my very first gig with Marvel and then sprinting to the shop that unforgettable Wednesday to see it on the shelves. That moment meant everything to me. Fast forward 15 years, and somehow I’m still here, doing what I love, with a whole body of work about to be collected in a beautiful hardcover. It honestly feels surreal. 12-year-old me would be doing backflips right now!”

The Marvel Art of Mike Del Mundo will be a 224-page 9" x 12" high-end coffee table book. Imagine all of Mike’s Marvel covers in one beautiful book.

The campaign will also feature:

• 11" x 17" prints

• posters

• stickers

• a puzzle

• signed books

• original sketches

• The campaign will also feature a separate sketchbook, a 5” x 7.5” softcover that features Mike’s preliminary sketches. So you can have both books open and see side by side the initial sketch of the idea to the final cover.

The Kickstarter will launch August 12th.
